This 80m² apartment, located in an old block building in the Carmel mountains, offers views of a valley and the Mediterranean Sea. Originally designed as a three-bedroom unit, the layout included narrow corridors and small windows, which limited natural light and obscured the views. The clients, a young couple working remotely, required a design that provided comfort and flexibility. To address these needs, we reconfigured the apartment to improve the flow between shared and private spaces, minimizing wasted areas. One of the main challenges was working with the existing layout, which restricted movement and light. Transitioning from a compartmentalized floor plan to a more open design required creative solutions to maximize the space effectively.

This idea takes shape as a main element, which is a curved wall wrapped in oak wood, defining the workspace, kitchen, and living area. This wall not only separates different functional zones but also adds warmth to the interior. The materials were selected to create a connection with the surrounding environment, emphasizing the apartment's geographical context in the Carmel mountains.
